Purchasing Elephant Tusks
  • Warther Museum holds all the necessary permits to purchase estate African elephant tusks from within the 50 United States.

  • Tusks are purchased from other museums and from private collections. Purchase price is based upon condition and size of the tusks.

We purchase African elephant tusks of all sizes and we consistently outbid other buyers.

  • Warther Museum works very closely with their U.S. Congressmen and the Chief Law Enforcement Offices of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to keep abreast of the laws relating to ivory purchases. We only purchase estate or museum collections from within the U.S.

  • If you know where a collection is, feel free to contact us. We pay a finders fee to individuals who locate collections we purchase.

  • If you have a collection that may be for sale, contact the Museum Director, David Warther II - . David can also be reached at 330-343-1865. David can answer your questions and discuss the possibility of your tusks being purchased by the museum.
